DIY Mallets, DIY Beaters, Mallet Wrapping, and Mallet Repair

-This link from Ross Mallets will take you to a pdf showing the above technique in printed form.
-This link shows a collection of homemade percussion mallets, including the super bouncy ball type ones.
-This link takes you to a Surdo Mallet- A Surdo is a Brazilian bass drum.
I have made variations on these (see pic below), and they are quick and easy and can be applied to small keyboard mallets to big gong mallets, and they don't require yarn. This is the Instructables version.
-A DIY Tamborim Beater- A Tamborim is a Brazilian Frame Drum, and these beaters look like brushes that have thicker plastic dowels instead of wire.
-I have also fixed yarn mallets with broken sticks by drilling out the broken stick and then hot gluing a dowel rod into the old sticks place.
