I own this sitar above. I am a drummer and I have little skill even on guitars. Below (or after the jump) are some good intro links to the coolest instrument I own.
Buckingham Music's Sitar Tutorial- This has good tips on how to hold the instrument and is over all a good introduction. The Tuning Page is very helpful when you first crack the case open.
KKSongs Sitar Pages- This site has a great tuning page with harmonium drones of all 7 main strings and has some good technique tips.
Expert Village Youtube Channel- they have great set up of videos on the Sitar, with the video below included.
