This post is a brainstorm collection of ideas from a conversation I had with the Owl People drummer about some of recording sessions. He mentioned a session done with 2 mics and then in mix down they duplicated tracks and and EQed them into bass, toms, snare, ect. Other than that, Jim Beam got in the way, but it was not a way I had ever thought about doing drums.
